The Deu-Som Association partner of Daneeye Rehabilitation and Infrastructure Development local Organization was founded in 2013 in Germany to promote integration, intercultural activities and development issues and to contribute to the reconstruction of home land Somalia. Its work focuses on providing help for self-help, promoting the development projects, exchange of Somali culture with other communities and supporting ongoing development projects in Somalia. Particular attention is paid to promoting mutual communication, participation, support in social difficulties and opening up future prospects. In cooperation with the local organization Daneeye, development projects are implemented with funds raised by the Deusom Association in Somalia. As an international organization, we plan to expand our activities to countries in the Horn of Africa and East Africa, such as Kenya.
The program supports a wide range of research on urban development and infrastructure, technical vocational training and education, climate change resilience and food security, and peace and state-building.
It is understood that in order to realize the mentioned vision, it is very important to raise awareness through cultural communication, which we are happy to do.
Climate Change Resilience and Food Security Project
Project Summary
Identification, evaluation and promotion of environmental and groundwater resources for resilience to climate change should be dealt with in this project proposal. Water and food security and better resource management should be an urgent priority for emergency relief and the long-term development process in Somaliland. To ensure that Somaliland’s economic development remains competitive and sustainability is to be achieved, the effects of climate change such as droughts, land degradation, charcoal trade, loss of biodiversity and water scarcity should be carefully considered Should also focus on the impact of the administrative gap due to state fragility in Somaliland.
